Discussion:


  • President/Vice-President Report (Maya O’Donnell / Justin Keziah):

    • Ballot for the upcoming Board election has been prepared.

    • Food for the fall meeting will be purchased at Publix for a significant savings over last year.

  • Treasurer Report (Jim Culp):

    • Treasurer’s Report was issued. Additional lines have been added to the budget to better track Park and Social expenses.

    • There are less than 40 residents who have not paid annual Dues.

    • The retainer for the Attorney (for review of the Declarations) has been paid.

  • Secretary Report (Dan Wendover):

    • July Board Meeting Minutes were circulated to the Board for comment then posted to the HOA Website.

  • Communications (Dan & Tricia Wendover):

    • The July/August/September Scoop has been proofed by the Board, and will be printed and distributed by August 17.

      • Reminder about dues payment will be added.

      • Ballot will be printed on reverse side.

  • Parks (open):

    • The tree that lost a limb onto the tennis court was discussed. Board will pursue arborist to cut limbs and trees at risk of falling and damaging the fencing and courts.

    • Board agreed to hire fence contractor for replacement of damaged/rotted fence boards, rather than complete replacement of fence.

      • Jim Culp and Mac McGinnis will stain the fence after a six-month weathering - and will be looking for help from neighbors.

    • Additional mulch is needed at the park.

      • Possible free/low cost sources are private arborists, Duke Energy, and the City (at the Fox Hole).

      • It is anticipated that neighbors will help spread the mulch.

    • The Basketball/Play Court is now locked. Combination is the same as the tennis court.

    • There are two dead shrubs at the entrances that need to be replaced.

  • Welcoming: (open):

    • Dan is in contact with Jinnie, will ask for the Welcoming Package Word document.

  • Social: (open):

    • No report this month.
